Sino-Build Supply qualifies manufacturers before they can sell and verifies goods through production and before shipment. Compliance with Canadian standards is category-dependent—not every product holds every certification mark.
Manufacturer qualification
Only tier-1 manufacturers who pass qualification can list products in the marketplace. Qualification covers export history, financial standing, on-site audits, and category-dependent compliance evidence.
Tier-1 manufacturer qualification
Manufacturers enter a structured vetting pipeline. Identity, company profile, export record, product categories, and compliance certificates are reviewed before a factory audit is scheduled.
Export track record and financial review
Export history and financial standing are reviewed to confirm the manufacturer can fulfil Canadian orders at the agreed specification, lead time, and payment terms.
Factory audits
On-site factory audits verify production capability, quality systems, and the conditions under which goods are manufactured. Audit findings are recorded on the supplier file.
Third-party testing
Independent laboratories test products where the category or project specification requires verified performance, safety, or compliance data beyond factory self-declaration.
Category-dependent
Canadian standards
Applicable standards depend on the product category and project specification. A listing or purchase record identifies which marks and test reports apply to that material—not every product holds every certification.
CSA
Canadian Standards Association marks where the product category requires CSA certification for electrical, gas, or construction products in Canada.
UL / cUL
Underwriters Laboratories listing where applicable to electrical, lighting, and related products sold in Canadian markets.
ASTM
ASTM International test methods and material standards referenced in project specifications for metals, finishes, and building components.
NAFS / CSA A440
North American Fenestration Standard and CSA A440 for windows, doors, and related openings where fenestration performance is specified.
KCMA
Kitchen Cabinet Manufacturers Association standards for cabinet construction, finishes, and hardware where millwork packages require KCMA compliance.
DLC
DesignLights Consortium qualified product lists for lighting fixtures where energy-efficiency or utility-rebate programs require DLC listing.
Independent verification
Independent inspectors verify goods at three checkpoints during the order lifecycle. Findings, photos, and checklist results are recorded on the purchase file.
Pre-production
Materials, dimensions, and certifications are verified against the agreed specification before production begins.
In production
Work-in-progress is inspected during production to confirm the manufacturer is building to the approved specification.
Pre-shipment
Finished goods are inspected before release for shipment. Quantities, packaging, and compliance documentation are confirmed.
Non-conformance handling
When inspection identifies a non-conformance, it is flagged on the purchase record. The manufacturer records a correction, goods are re-inspected, and the non-conformance is released only after re-verification passes. Shipment does not proceed until the issue is closed.
Product and document traceability
Each purchase links the product specification, compliance attachments, inspection reports, shipment events, and delivery confirmation on one record. Buyers, suppliers, and inspectors share a single audit trail from qualification through warranty.
